Made in Dagenham imageThe ultimate date movie for the feminist in your life.

A dramatization of the 1968 strike at Britain’s Ford Dagenham car plant, in which female workers walked out in protest against sexual discrimination, Made in Dagenham follows newbie union representative Rita (Sally Hawkins, An Education, Happy-Go-Lucky) and her female co-workers as they tirelessly take their grievance to the highest powers in the land.

Directed by Nigel Cole (Saving Grace, Calendar Girls,) and featuring Miranda
Richardson in a wonderful performance as the British Minister of Labour and Bob Hoskins (Mrs. Henderson Presents) as a sympathetic union steward.
