15 year old Ahmet has two tasks in life – to look after his younger brother, who lost his speech after their mother’s death, and to tend to the flock of sheep, which his strict father cares about more than his children. Life in the Macedonian countryside is certainly no picnic. Patriarchal and religious traditions reign supreme here. Marriages are arranged, social hierarchies are deeply rooted. The younger generation rebels, but only when their parents aren’t looking. However, progress is slowly finding its way. When Ahmet accidentally runs into an illegal rave party, he loses a sheep, finds love, and gains a new purpose in life, for which he will have to fight hard with those around him.
