Remember way back in the day what your first assignment was at school? We’ve taken care of it for you this year as Spinning Reels presents What We Did on Our Holiday on September 14, 7:00 PM at the Norwood Theatre.

What We Did on Our Holiday kicks off Spinning Reels’ 2015-2016 Season

Billy Connolly (last seen by Spinning Reels fans in Quartet) stars as Gordie, the birthday boy, who is visited by his ‘happy family’ in order to help him celebrate. As with most families, all is not as it seems, and the mayhem that arises is humorous,  charming and touching. A great way to start off our new season, this is a guaranteed crowd-pleaser. As The Guardian said: “It’s impossible not to enjoy this big-hearted and sweet-natured British family movie.”

Join us before the movie at Nick’s 146 Manitoba Street, Bracebridge from 5-6:30 for our Opening Reception. Finger-food will be available as well as a cash bar. Admission by ticket for the movie, or if you want to wait and take a chance, you can buy yours there.
