September 26, 2011–A visual poem featuring A-listers Brad Pitt, Sean Penn, and Jessica Chastain.

A family is devastated by the loss of one of its three sons. The fragmented, non-linear narrative shifts between the boys’ suburban 1950s Texas upbringing with their overbearing father and uplifting mother (Pitt and Chastain), a contemporary urban landscape in which the eldest son (Penn) struggles with the scars of youth, and a series of transcendent images from the prehistoric to the cosmic, giving metaphoric scope to their journey.
