What a dinner party!

If you were ever inclined to play the game of being able to invite anyone you wanted (dead or alive) to dinner, these folks would be sure to provide some very lively banter. In fact, the whole premise of this movie is based on being around this “Trump-era” dinner party table and listening in on the conversation  of some decidedly interesting, and opinionated people. Salma Hayek plays Beatriz, a quiet, controlled ‘earth mother’-type, while John Lithgow is a decidedly less circumspect and very rich, developer. They provide character studies of opposite views with simmering tension and intense truth. This is a film which should not only be seen, but discussed and debated.
